Treatment for Addictive Disorders
If you have an addictive disorder, it is important you access resources, education and clinical support to help you on the road to recovery.
Inpatient Treatment
Our hospital offers treatment of addiction and mental health issues that often go hand-in-hand.
We provide relapse prevention and lifestyle management strategies, and discuss the skills, techniques and strategies needed to understand and manage dependency disorders.
We adopt an abstinence-based approach to treatment. Our specialised treatment for addiction addresses the root causes of the disease, including:
- Low self-esteem
- Anger
- Sadness
- Guilt/shame
- Abuse or trauma
- Abandonment (emotional or physical)
Patients will attend a range of one-on-one sessions with their Psychologist and Psychiatrist and attend daily group programs based on their needs.
Day Programs
Dual Diagnosis
The Dual Diagnosis Program is for people with a co-occuring mental illness and drug and alcohol issue. It helps participants learn to cope with unpleasant emotions without using drugs or alcohol, build a routine that improves physical and mental well being and develop skills to prevent relapse. Please note this is an abstinence based program.
Our program is run by a multidisciplinary treatment team. If you are diagnosed with a substance use and mental health disorder, you can learn to better manage your mood and change your addictive behaviour. You will discuss Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), relapse prevention and motivational enhancement, and need to attend on a regular basis.
